Protecting marriage to protect children - Los Angeles Times
This proposition is very important. It is about religious freedom and protecting the rights of children. Marriage is more associated with the rights of children than of the couples rights. Without this ammendment, religions can be forced to recognize and support that which they oppose on a religious basis. The people of California already voted this exact wording into law, but the courts rejected it.
